Pentax announced a new multi-functional compact camera PENTAX Optio VS20 equipped with high-powered 20x optical zoom lens with large focal length range (from wide-angle to super-telephoto macro mode) and a separate shutter release and zoom lever for vertical shooting .

- 28 mm wide angle lens with 20x optical zoom

- Automatic selection of the most appropriate shooting mode
- New modes of shooting with maximum opportunities for creativity
- Improved automatic face recognition with a new memory function
- Video in HDTV format with a separate button to start recording
- 3-inch LCD high resolution (460K pixels)
- Digital level and grid with 48 segments
- Wireless remote shooting with the optional remote control
- Function of dynamic range D-Range
- Panorama shooting
Pentax Optio VS20 will be available in both black and white colors and is expected to go on sale on the company’s website in February for $250.
