Sundar Pichai, chief of the division of Android successor to Andy Rubin who resigned a few months ago, spoke about the event Google I / O which will be held May 15 to 17. In an interview with Wired, Pichai Sundar said that unlike last year, we will focus more on aspects that users will benefit thanks to new tools that will be placed in the hands of developers. Let’s read what he says when he talks about Android and Chrome OS :

The Google I / O will be different. Has not yet reached the time when we have many things to be launched as new products or a new operating system. For both operating systems, Android is that Chrome, we want to focus this I / O on a whole series of new things we are doing for developers, so that they can write [program =] better things. We will show how Google’s services are doing fantastic things about both of these two platforms.

By now it is clear. It seems that no new Nexus , no new version of Android and no new version of Chrome OS will be presented at Google I / O 2013 , but the event will focus on a number of new features that will be available to developers so they can make applications and things better for Android and Chrome.

It remains, however, a small question, as it could be, however, announced the new version of LTE the Nexus 4 (which in fact would not be anything new but it looks identical to the current one except for the 4G antenna) as well as Android 4.3 since it does not it is the major update to Android 5.0 , which should represent a revolution of sorts as it was Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Be excluded a prior, then the Nexus 7 LTE and Google Smartwatch.

Pichai also spoke of the other companies of Android are making more and more use, such as Samsung and Amazon just to make two names. Pichai also states that the relationship between Google and Samsung are not as bad as some believe, so much so that Google believes Samsung a great partner to work with. In fact it must necessarily be so, otherwise why would Google have chosen to produce a Samsung the Nexus 10 ? He also says you excited about all the new features of the fourth-generation GS, especially for what concerns the eye tracking also has not yet had the opportunity to try it.

There’s also even for Facebook. The new head of the division Android in fact, states that it is interesting how social are choosing Android and how they can do well with this operating system, even if not fully endorses the policies themselves of some social networks.

Finally: Android and Chrome OS will merge as operating systems and become one? For now it seems not. Recall that they are two completely different operating systems, one open source the other not. Merge operation would be really hard to make and also very long, but it seems there is nothing in the program. The future plans of Google , in fact, would be the ones to always offer the best user experience both on Android than on Chrome . That said, at least for the next few years, are not planned merger between the two operating systems.

The Google I / O is getting closer and now there are really only a few hours at the beginning of the event. Stay tuned for more updates.

Google I / O is imminent and are coming to a multitude of news about what will be presented. Many of them are just rumors, others behind the reliable basis. Just a few minutes ago, there comes the news that Google Smartwatch really exists.

The news should be trusted, as it comes directly from a source close to Google. Smartwatch has already been spotted in at least three different offices of Google: Berlin, Manchester and Mountain View. Why his presentation should take place soon. Its functionality will be very similar to the Google Glass and will be equipped with an interface style Google Now . The device, however, will not be entirely standalone, as to be fully functional needs to be coupled with a smartphone.

The source reports, too, that the Smartwatch is branded Motorola and would not be the first device of its kind to be produced by the company. There are, however, news of his presentation, although we believe that the upcoming Google I / O can be more than suitable for a presentation of this kind. We will keep you updated as always.

We just heard about the Google I / O 2013 but had a little ‘to say in general about Android and the future of Google. It ‘s still him, Sundar Pichai , the new head of the division of Android talking. This time however, focuses on updates for devices Android as we know, are the cross for all users and all companies. Develop an update is not simple, and very often take months, but Mr. Pichai will do anything to improve the current situation. Here are his words about it:

We’re looking at how to better manage the updates of Android. We are evaluating several options to do this. It ‘s still early. We are talking to our partners and we are negotiating about it. We need time to understand the mechanism right, but it is definitely an area that I will focus myself with the entire team.

Soon, even if you do not know when, the mechanism of the updates of Android devices will start to work properly, maybe even thanks to a helping hand from Google. Of course this does not apply to devices Nexus or those officers who are up to date without waiting times from the same Google .

Pichai also back again to repeat the position occupied by Motorola in Google : “ Motorola is a partner just like the others , “at least for now.

Sundar Pichai finally leaves a little ‘with all doubts. He speaks of a secret project of Google :

Larry [Page] wants to be sure that we are driving towards innovation and doing fantastic things for users and for developers. [...] I have a secret project that adds 4 to 24 hours every day that we have. Involved are a bit ‘also time travel.

Whether it’s a new chapter of Ingress or simply Google has found a way to extend your days? Seriously, we will see all this and more at Google I / O. Stay tuned.

The producer must always be far ahead of the current times, as they must be able to face new challenges and achieve goals in future years that may surprise users. Samsung is certainly not a newcomer and know that on the innovation that is all, or nearly so.

After launching the Galaxy S3 for both the version 3G (i9300) that the variant 4G (i9305), and after launching globally the new Galaxy S4 with technology 4G , the South Korean company is optimistic about the introduction of technology 5G within the 2020 . Another 7 years, therefore, and also the 4G will be obsolete ready to be replaced by 5G, which in turn will be replaced by 6G within you do not know how many more years and so on, as in the natural order of all things.

The connection 5G will be a big step forward compared to the 4G , which already offers excellent performance. It will, in fact, from 100 Mbps to 1Gbps , or you will go 10 times faster than the 4G on the internet with your mobile device. The only problem to solve is obviously linked to the battery. With the current batteries, have on board technology 5G would consume the entire charge within a few minutes, so it is hoped that in the next seven years will be made a big step forward with regard to autonomy, which has always been the weak point of any mobile device.

Do not underestimate the overheating problems that might occur. Meanwhile, something tells us that Samsung and other companies already have a device under test 5G … and beyond.

According to the findings, the smartphone should have a design very similar to one of the photo opening of the article, given a few days ago just to Optimus G2 or Nexus 5.

Following this line, the smartphone will have no physical buttons on the front surface, which will be almost entirely taken up by 5.5-inch IPS display with full HD resolution. The smartphone should be made of plastic and have within it the much-talked SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 . It should also be equipped with a removable battery and well 2.5 GB of RAM.

His presentation should take place during the month of June , so it should not be missing much longer. View the news and in the absence of official confirmation, we recommend that you take it all with caution. However, if it is confirmed, it would be an absolute top of the range, unrivaled.

Most likely, Samsung has chosen to launch this device without TouchWiz hardware as well as with a poor performance would not have been able to run well the operating system worsened by the usual customization of Samsung . Its price has not been announced yet but it will be very aggressive considering the specifications and almost missing the “hand” of Samsung in the software.

For now you know that the Galaxy Centura will only be launched in the U.S., even if you do not yet know the exact date, and there is no information about a possible launch in Europe. Surely this is not a smartphone very attractive but it is definitely curious about the fact that Samsung has strangely decided to abandon its customization interface in favor of stock Android at least on this device.

New Samsung Galaxy Mini S4 should be announced by the Korean Company in coming weeks and in the meantime they have leaked a series of new images of the smartphone. As expected, the design clearly evokes that of his older brother Galaxy S4.

Despite of his announcement to take place before month of May, his arrival in market is still expected between June and July. The smartphone also seems to be with a 4.3-inch display with resolution of 540 x 960 p with 256 PPI and a dual core processor with 1.6 GHz. Nothing exciting if we think that the Galaxy S4 comes in the two variants a 600 quad-core Snapdragon and an octa-core Exynos 5410.

Therefore, should be a version which refers to the Galaxy S4 only in design and some software functions, just as happened with the previous Galaxy S3 Mini and Galaxy S3. Pending its presentation, we leave you with a gallery of images of smartphone.

CyanogenMod team comes with a post on Google+ which you can read at this address, announced that work to bring their own ROM on HTC One is a very good point. The terminal can be considered fully supported, in fact operate all radio interfaces, or WiFi, Bluetooth and GSM network.

The team unfortunately, announces that the camera still is not working properly for a strange reason it is launched properly, but then does not seem to give any sign of life and thus cease to function properly. Precisely because of this problem which should be solved quickly enough, the ROM is not yet available to download and then install. The developer, who will complete the work, has said he will try to make the ROM available to all in the coming days.

The image that you see here above is the testimony that the ROM is installed and running on the terminal tip HTC. The flagship then Taiwan is preparing to receive Android 4.2.2 ROM CyanogenMod from the team in a few days, just long enough to resolve the small problem with the camera.
