Let’s now proceed to the steps to root the Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 on XWKL1 firmware:

Step1: Firstly you need to download the root package for Galaxy. The extract the downloaded package, on extracting you will see the executable files as show in the image below.

Step2: Now you need to open the odin executable file for which you need to bring your phone in the download mode. Turn off the device and then ‘ON’ it again by holding, volume down + Ok button and power key simultaneously. Once your device successfully entered the download mode, connect it to the PC via USB cable.

Step3: Click on the ‘PDA’ and then select the name of the file as ‘CF-Root-SGS2_XW_INU_KL1-v5.0-CWM5’. Now double click on the file and it will start the rooting process. Within a minute or so, your device will automatically restart.

Step4: Once you see the home screen, disconnect the device and turn it off to bring it in the recovery mode.

Step5: For bringing your device in the recovery mode you need to press the volume down + Ok Button and the power button simultaneously. Once your device successfully entered into the recovery mode, Wipe out the cache and then reboot the device again.

That’s it, when your device will boot you will see the CWM app and the Super use app in the list of the application. This means your device is now rooted and ready for any Custom update.

Steps to fix up the digital noise reduction/cancellation problem in Samsung S2 GT I9100:

Step1: Firstly, you need to remove the battery and also need to remove the screws to unclip the back and the front cover, as show in the image below.
