Canon PowerShot G1 X – Compact Digital Camera with Large Sensor
Canon has introduced its new compact digital camera PowerShot G1 X equipped with high 14.1 megapixels CMOS (CMOS) sensor which offers the image quality and ease of management-level digital SLR camera in a portable metal case. PowerShot G1 X is equipped with high-performance image processor DIGIC 5, a new precision Canon lens and wide possibilities of manual control.
As the company introduced the new product is its first compact model with a large 14.3-megapixel CMOS (CMOS) sensor with a 4:3 aspect ratio (18.7 mm x 14 mm), which is similar to the height sensor APS-C, used in SLRs EOS. Due to the same pixel size and structure as in the EOS 600D as well as the surface area of ​​approximately 6.3 times larger than the sensor of the famous model PowerShot G12, the manufacturer managed to achieve quality comparable to the quality of SLR in a small package housing, which enables you to take a camera with you wherever you go.
