Canon has announced a new 12.1 MP digital compact camera model IXUS 1100 HS (the North American market, this model will go on as Canon PowerShot ELPH 510 HS) with a touch screen, 28 mm wide angle lens and 12x optical zoom. This camera is a compact stainless steel housing is, according to the company, the thinnest in its class to date. This flagship IXUS implemented an advanced system of HS from Canon, which provides high quality images in all conditions. IXUS 1100 HS also features a new Intelligent Image Stabilization system (Intelligent IS), which allows you to get clear pictures for macro, low light and at full zoom. IXUS 1100 HS allows filming in the resolution of Full HD (1080p), and a large 3.2-inch touch screen (8.0 cm) is designed to ensure exceptional ease of control when framing and reviewing. The IXUS 1100 HS is available from October 2011, priced at £369/€429 RRP incl. VAT.
